As far as I know, there's no built in way to change time signatures. What you can do though, is ignore the 'measure' length in the playlist grid. For example, if you want a section of 3/4 in an otherwise 4/4 song, write all the percussion and midi patterns in 3/4, set the snap to 'beat' instead of 'bar' on the playlist.
