Computer Not Seeing Ssd
My computer was working fine but when I turned it on today, it went straight to bios instead of normally booting to Windows 8. Within BIOS, I can not see my HDD at all. At first, I thought it was a HDD problem, so I bought a SSD to test out that theory. The same problem occurred. BIOS will not detect the HDD or SSD. I followed this. Computer not recognizing SSD? I just lately purchased this and I tried linking it tó my Samsung EV0 840 SSD (which I've in no way used before and purchased last Nov), but I'm not getting any notifications of anything installing, nor will Samsung Magician acknowledge it linked.Is definitely there something I need to do before my laptop computer will understand the SSD?If not, will this mean that either my cable or my SSD is definitely defective?Here's a of the cable linked to thé SSD (apologies fór the horrible quality!). It's faint, but on the sata end, you can notice an tangerine light lit (after being linked to my laptop computer). I'm not sure if this can be appropriate, but I possess accusations it might end up being the cable connection because that other pin below the first lighting (which I assume provides a light, but feel not particular) isn'capital t lighted.
